Question about filing for divorce?

I got married in Ga. Lived there for 3 months then moved back to my home state. I never actually got residency in GA it remained in TN. I am filing in TN. I am not sure what kind of divorce I should get. I would like it if he were to pay for things; property damage, medical bills(divorcing him due to abuse and he put me in the hospital), and for the actual divorce if that is at all possible. But I know that could take awhile. So on the other hand I just want to say forget it all and ill find a way to pay it all. If I am not sure he is living in the same residence is that a problem? Also, I am going to find a lawyer today, should I bring my medical papers in with me and the total cost of property damage? Is there anything else I need to know about all this? Sorry for all the questions i'm just nervous about this. Oh, and as for the abuse the cops were notified and a report was made. Do I need to get the copy of the report? Thank you all so much
