J1 to F1 before meeting the 2Y home residency requirement?

I was a holder of J1 visa and I am a subject to 2 year home residency. I just finished my sophomore high school year. If I apply for college early, get accepted and get the F1 visa (also considering the fact that I would spend one year in my home country before I leave for college, my "senior" year), would my coming to the home country during the summer breaks and winter breaks count towards the ending of the two years that I need to spend in my home country?
